Elebu Frontier Cooperative Society is a registered Cooperative Society. It is registered with both Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C) and Oyo State Ministry of Cooperative. It commenced operation on 21st September, 2017 with ten (10) pioneer members and over the years, the society has grown numerically and in strength.
External Auditors’ reports over the years clearly show that the society’s financial discipline, wise investments and cautious recruitment of members are top notch procedures that are responsible for geometric growth of the society.
The society members are professionals from diverse fields and business entrepreneurs. This mix is an essential ingredient which spiced up our meetings by making it intellectually engaging and decisions are taken based on diverse intellectual opinions.
Membership is strictly by referral, that is, an existing member would have to recommend before an intending member is admitted into the society. Also, the society carries out background check on intending members. All these steps are taken in order to maintain the integrity of it's members.
The following are the two (2) membership categories:
1. Local membership.
2. Diaspora membership.
Local members are members who live within Ibadan, while the Diaspora members are non-residents of Ibadan, this also include those living outside Nigeria.
Our products are internally developed and tailored towards the needs of our members while we ensure that it is in line with international best practice and standards. Our current products are:
Our meeting holds every second Sunday of the month by 4:00pm Nigeria time. There are two categories of meetings which are 1 physical and 2 online meetings in a quarter.
A physical meeting is conveyed where all members are seated in our meeting venue for discussions while online meeting is conveyed via whattsApp, Google-meet or Zoom depending on the one found suitable by the executives prior the meeting.
In a quarter, which is three months, we hold two physical meetings and one online meeting.
The online meeting is mandatory for all our diaspora members while our in-house members are encouraged to attend all but at least two meetings in a quarter.
